Business Connect reduces the time businesses spend dealing with government by:
- gathering more complete, more consistent information up front
- providing transparent process updates once forms are submitted
- saving submitted information for faster renewals.
Business Connect for businesses
Free to use
Business Connect is government-funded to support small business. This means that government agencies and councils don't pay to join the platform, and there are no transaction fees.

Business Connect is an easy-to-use, modular system that agencies and councils can instantly plug in and link from their existing websites – it doesn't need full integration or software development.
Suite of standard hospitality forms
Our initial focus is on developing forms for the hospitality sector. With input from Hospitality New Zealand, we're working with councils to develop and standardise common forms to meet legal requirements and local bylaws.

We've built a library of standard, reusable form components, making it easy to set up new services. If you need new components, we can co-design these with you and add them to our library for other services to use in the future.

Business Connect is enabled by the New Zealand Business Number (NZBN). Once a business registers for Business Connect, their NZBN will pre-populate key information about their business that they're frequently asked to supply.
