Product goal: Clear and tested direction for a simplified builder

Recently shipped

  • Allowing businesses to duplicate an existing case and reuse that data for a new application.
  • Refine customer session recordings by data analytic software.
  • Integration of customer feedback software for the collection of net promoter score and other insights.

Working on now

  • Simplified user interface for builder available as a demo without login.
  • Consider how we might host citizen services on a platform.
  • Service metrics available for government service owners, for example completion and satisfaction rates.
  • New templates for reporting and feedback forms.
  • Working with DIA Web Standards team on accessibility of the FormBuilder Tool.

Exploring

  • Simplified methods of form building including an exploration of the use of AI.

Growth goal: Onboarding new agencies interested in new Form as a Link feature

Recently shipped

  • Delivered five services for Ōtorohanga District Council.
  • Delivered one service for Tasman District Council.
  • Delivered two services for ACC.
  • Delivered one service each for eInvoicing team and Consumer Protection.
  • Invited a further 50 builders from outside our team to use FormBuilder tool.
  • Prototyped forms for MPI, Assure Quality and Tenancy Services.
  • Established monthly webinar series.

Working on now

  • Launching Form as a Link feature as an alternative hosting option for simple forms.
  • Switching the Deferred Payment Account service with Customs over to the FormBuilder tool.
  • Switching council food and alcohol services over to the FormBuilder tool.
  • Reworking our website to help agencies and councils consider if FormBuilder and Business Connect are right for their service.
  • Speaking engagements with GOVIS, TechWeek and DigiGov Leaders Summit.

Exploring

  • Excise permits with NZ Customs.
  • Freshwater Farms with MPI.
  • Grant funding applications across government.

Operations goal: A stable and trusted platform

  • Refining the interface to allow non-technical team members to fully manage services and government service teams.
  • Design role-based access to prepare for those in agencies managing their own services.

  • Greater control for business users over personal settings around their data, privacy, and notifications.
