Product goal: Test a proof of concept for a simplified builder
Recently shipped
- A prebuilt form template, where it guarantees success in form creation.
- Accessibility features to empower keyboard users to be able to build a form.
- Custom resources from the design system, no configuration required from builders.
- A preview function at the click of a button.
- Save your progress by storing the form JSON and continue with your form by loading into back the tool.
Working on now
- Refining all the Formbuilder resources.
- Continue working with DIA Web Standards team on accessibility of the FormBuilder tool.
- User testing sessions with government.
- A proof of concept for hosting forms elsewhere.
- Additional features for our forms for unauthenticated users like uploads and save.
- Improving save functionality for end users in the Business Connect platform.
Exploring
- Creating an app experience for government people to be able to build, manage and update forms.
Growth goal: Greater reach to generate more leads

- Webinar series established.
- Analytics dashboard enhanced and now includes NPS and completion stats that can be shared with agencies.
- Presentations at the Digital Leaders’ Summit and Government Innovation Showcase for Tech week.
- Refresh of the website and Product Overview.
Working on now
- Presenting to government networks and communities of practice.
- Collaborating with Digital.govt.nz to explore ways to raise awareness.
- Promoting the use of FormBuilder as an interim solution for digitisation while agencies plan for transformation.
- Reviewing new IA on website through Google Analytics.
- Growing webinar attendance.
Exploring
- Extending the use of FormBuilder and Business Connect for citizen and government to government forms.
- Preparing stakeholders for availability of forms for unauthenticated users.
Delivery goal: Deliver more forms and more co-building sessions
Recently shipped
- Delivered new services with ACC and the Regional Business Partners Network.
- Refinement of the ISSC services with ACC resulting in 3 releases post go-live and an overhaul of the Fog Cannon Subsidy Scheme.
Working on now
- Services for Department for Internal Affairs, Ministry for Housing and Urban Development, Kānoa - Regional Economic Development and Investment Unit within MBIE, Customs, Tasman District Council and IPONZ.
- Transition Secure Exports Scheme to FormBuilder.
- Transition council services to FormBuilder.
